Background: The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) emphasizes the need for structured programs to enhance residents’ teaching skills and highlights teaching as a core competency for training. Many residency programs have implemented “Resident as Teacher” electives or teaching tracks. The knowledge gained in these protected settings is often difficult to apply in the fast-paced, intense clinical world.
Purpose: This collaboration aims to ease access and improve utilization of streamlined, best practice medical education principles which would enhance the ability of aspiring and practicing clinical educators to efficiently reference teaching pedagogy/andragogy at work.
